Massage Therapy is a science, a healing art, and for many individuals, a great way to support their efforts to take care of themselves. It's especially effective combined with fitness programs, dance, yoga, chiropractic, physical therapy and acupuncture/pressure. My massage techniques include deep tissue, neurokinetic, neuromuscular, myofascial and orthopedic methods. I'm also certified in oncology and pediatric massage.
Biodynamic craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that uses specific hands-on methods of tuning into your body's own deep, constant, holistic health. This therapy is profoundly relaxing physically and mentally and helps to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress and pain, and regulate and stimulate healing from the inside, out.
Massage or Craniosacral? While regular massage can be essential for meeting the needs of the musculoskeletal system for pressure and release, biodynamic craniosacral addresses a primary, holistic level to help your body access its own primary, essential health. The cranium, spine and sacrum make up a core, vital highway for our autonomic nervous system and yet craniosacral therapy can be applied at many places on the body. During craniosacral work, the client remains clothed.
Whether you choose massage or craniosacral treatments, we will work together to meet your goals. Repetitive strains, vigorous workouts, old and recent injuries or accidents, and numerous health conditions can benefit from one or both of these therapies.
A further note on biodynamic craniosacral therapy:
This healing modality is excellent for PTSD, migraines, concussions, post-surgery recovery, neurological disorders, anxiety reduction and general pain reduction.
